Receipt to Excel questions
What gets extracted from a receipt?
Merchant, date, subtotal, tax, tip, total, currency and payment method on the Receipts sheet, plus each purchased item on a Line Items sheet.
How do I know the numbers are right?
Subtotal + tax + tip is checked against the printed total. If it does not add up, the receipt is flagged for review on the Validation sheet instead of being silently corrected.
Can I convert several receipts at once?
A PDF that contains several receipts gives one row per receipt. Separate photos are converted one file at a time.
Where does this work?
Inside ChatGPT and Claude as an app/connector, and in any client that supports remote MCP servers, such as Cursor and VS Code. You ask in plain language, attach the file (or use the upload button), and get a download link.
Are there file limits?
Each file can be up to 10 MB and 20 pages. There is a free monthly page allowance; your current usage is shown on your account page.
What happens to my files?
Uploaded documents and the generated spreadsheets are stored only so you can download them, and are deleted automatically after 7 days. Documents may be read with AI models as part of the conversion.
